Genesis 1:1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.
Genesis 1:1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.
Genesis 1:2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. Genesis 1:3 And God said, Let there be light: and there was light. Genesis 1:4 And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness. Genesis 1:5 And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day. Genesis 1:6 And God said, Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters. Genesis 1:7 And God made the firmament, and divided the waters which were under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament: and it was so. Genesis 1:8 And God called the firmament Heaven. And the evening and the morning were the second day. Genesis 1:9 And God said, Let the waters under the heaven be gathered together unto one place, and let the dry land appear: and it was so. Genesis 1:10 And God called the dry land Earth; and the gathering together of the waters called he Seas: and God saw that it was good. Genesis 1:11 And God said, Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb yielding seed, and the fruit tree yielding fruit after his kind, whose seed is in itself, upon the earth: and it was so. Genesis 1:12 And the earth brought forth grass, and herb yielding seed after his kind, and the tree yielding fruit, whose seed was in itself, after his kind: and God saw that it was good. Genesis 1:13 And the evening and the morning were the third day. Genesis 1:14 And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years: Genesis 1:15 And let them be for lights in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth: and it was so. Genesis 1:16 And God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night: he made the stars also. Genesis 1:17 And God set them in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth, Genesis 1:18 And to rule over the day and over the night, and to divide the light from the darkness: and God saw that it was good. Genesis 1:19 And the evening and the morning were the fourth day. Genesis 1:20 And God said, Let the waters bring forth abundantly the moving creature that hath life, and fowl that may fly above the earth in the open firmament of heaven. Genesis 1:21 And God created great whales, and every living creature that moveth, which the waters brought forth abundantly, after their kind, and every winged fowl after his kind: and God saw that it was good. Genesis 1:22 And God blessed them, saying, Be fruitful, and multiply, and fill the waters in the seas, and let fowl multiply in the earth. Genesis 1:23 And the evening and the morning were the fifth day. Genesis 1:24 And God said, Let the earth bring forth the living creature after his kind, cattle, and creeping thing, and beast of the earth after his kind: and it was so. Genesis 1:25 And God made the beast of the earth after his kind, and cattle after their kind, and every thing that creepeth upon the earth after his kind: and God saw that it was good. Genesis 1:26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. Genesis 1:27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. Genesis 1:28 And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth. Genesis 1:29 And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat. Genesis 1:30 And to every beast of the earth, and to every fowl of the air, and to every thing that creepeth upon the earth, wherein there is life, I have given every green herb for meat: and it was so. Genesis 1:31 And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day. |
Job 38:18
"Hast thou perceived the breadth of the earth? declare if thou knowest it all." Job 38:1 Then the LORD answered Job out of the whirlwind, and said,
Job 38:2 Who is this that darkeneth counsel by words without knowledge? Job 38:3 Gird up now thy loins like a man; for I will demand of thee, and answer thou me. Job 38:4 Where wast thou when I laid the foundations of the earth? declare, if thou hast understanding. Job 38:5 Who hath laid the measures thereof, if thou knowest? or who hath stretched the line upon it? Job 38:6 Whereupon are the foundations thereof fastened? or who laid the corner stone thereof; Job 38:7 When the morning stars sang together, and all the sons of God shouted for joy? Job 38:8 Or who shut up the sea with doors, when it brake forth, as if it had issued out of the womb? Job 38:9 When I made the cloud the garment thereof, and thick darkness a swaddlingband for it, Job 38:10 And brake up for it my decreed place, and set bars and doors, Job 38:11 And said, Hitherto shalt thou come, but no further: and here shall thy proud waves be stayed? Job 38:12 Hast thou commanded the morning since thy days; and caused the dayspring to know his place; Job 38:13 That it might take hold of the ends of the earth, that the wicked might be shaken out of it? Job 38:14 It is turned as clay to the seal; and they stand as a garment. Job 38:15 And from the wicked their light is withholden, and the high arm shall be broken. Job 38:16 Hast thou entered into the springs of the sea? or hast thou walked in the search of the depth? Job 38:17 Have the gates of death been opened unto thee? or hast thou seen the doors of the shadow of death? Job 38:18 Hast thou perceived the breadth of the earth? declare if thou knowest it all. Job 38:19 Where is the way where light dwelleth? and as for darkness, where is the place thereof, Job 38:20 That thou shouldest take it to the bound thereof, and that thou shouldest know the paths to the house thereof? Job 38:21 Knowest thou it, because thou wast then born? or because the number of thy days is great? Job 38:22 Hast thou entered into the treasures of the snow? or hast thou seen the treasures of the hail, Job 38:23 Which I have reserved against the time of trouble, against the day of battle and war? Job 38:24 By what way is the light parted, which scattereth the east wind upon the earth? Job 38:25 Who hath divided a watercourse for the overflowing of waters, or a way for the lightning of thunder; Job 38:26 To cause it to rain on the earth, where no man is; on the wilderness, wherein there is no man; Job 38:27 To satisfy the desolate and waste ground; and to cause the bud of the tender herb to spring forth? Job 38:28 Hath the rain a father? or who hath begotten the drops of dew? Job 38:29 Out of whose womb came the ice? and the hoary frost of heaven, who hath gendered it? Job 38:30 The waters are hid as with a stone, and the face of the deep is frozen. Job 38:31 Canst thou bind the sweet influences of Pleiades, or loose the bands of Orion? Job 38:32 Canst thou bring forth Mazzaroth in his season? or canst thou guide Arcturus with his sons? Job 38:33 Knowest thou the ordinances of heaven? canst thou set the dominion thereof in the earth? Job 38:34 Canst thou lift up thy voice to the clouds, that abundance of waters may cover thee? Job 38:35 Canst thou send lightnings, that they may go, and say unto thee, Here we are? Job 38:36 Who hath put wisdom in the inward parts? or who hath given understanding to the heart? Job 38:37 Who can number the clouds in wisdom? or who can stay the bottles of heaven, Job 38:38 When the dust groweth into hardness, and the clods cleave fast together? Job 38:39 Wilt thou hunt the prey for the lion? or fill the appetite of the young lions, Job 38:40 When they couch in their dens, and abide in the covert to lie in wait? Job 38:41 Who provideth for the raven his food? when his young ones cry unto God, they wander for lack of meat. |

And the sun stood still, and the moon stayed, until the people had avenged themselves upon their enemies. Is not this written in the book of Jasher ? Psalms 19:1-6 The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork. Day unto day uttereth speech, and night unto night sheweth knowledge. There is no speech nor language, where their voice is not heard. Their line is gone out through all the earth, and their words to the end of the world. In them hath he set a tabernacle for the sun , Which is as a bridegroom coming out of his chamber, and rejoiceth as a strong man to run a race. His going forth is from the end of the heaven, and his circuit unto the ends of it: and there is nothing hid from the heat thereof.
