Ephesians 2:1 And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins; Ephesians 2:2 Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience: Ephesians 2:3 Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others. Ephesians 2:4 But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us, Ephesians 2:5 Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;) Ephesians 2:6 And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus: Ephesians 2:7 That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus. Ephesians 2:8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Ephesians 2:9 Not of works, lest any man should boast. Romans 3:27 Where is boasting then? It is excluded. By what law? of works? Nay: but by the law of faith. Romans 4:2 For if Abraham were justified by works, he hath whereof to glory; but not before God. Romans 4:6 Even as David also describeth the blessedness of the man, unto whom God imputeth righteousness without works, Romans 11:6 And if by grace, then is it no more of works: otherwise grace is no more grace. But if it be of works, then is it no more grace: otherwise work is no more work. “But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness.” Romans 4:5 “Ye see then how that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only.” James 2:24 Romans 4:5 is in stark contrast to James 2:24 ! Some people will cry that there are errors in the King James Bible, but we know better once we learn to rightly divide the word of truth 2 Tim 2:15 There are CONTRADICTIONS that get resolved when we understand that God has a program FOR ISRAEL and another FOR THE BODY OF CHRIST ! Grace Justification a. Grace and works don’t mix Romans 11:6 Romans 11:6 And if by grace, then is it no more of works: otherwise grace is no more grace. But if it be of works, then is it no more grace: otherwise work is no more work. Romans 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; Romans 3:24 Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus: b. Justified freely by his grace Romans 3:24 The Apostle James is writing to the 12 Tribes, not to The Body of Christ. See for yourself James 1:1 James, a servant of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ, to the twelve tribes which are scattered abroad, greeting. The INSTRUCTIONS ( DOCTRINE) are different because the BODY of CHRIST is THE NEW CREATURE. We are UNDER GRACE,not under THE LAW. The faith of Paul
a. Righteousness upon all that believe Rom 3:18-22 Romans 3:18 There is no fear of God before their eyes. Romans 3:18 There is no fear of God before their eyes. Romans 3:20 Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin. Romans 3:21 But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets; Romans 3:22 Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference: b. How? – Rom 3:25-26; Rom 4:22-25 Romans 3:25 Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God; Romans 3:26 To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus. Romans 4:22 And therefore it was imputed to him for righteousness. Romans 4:23 Now it was not written for his sake alone, that it was imputed to him; Romans 4:24 But for us also, to whom it shall be imputed, if we believe on him that raised up Jesus our Lord from the dead; Romans 4:25 Who was delivered for our offences, and was raised again for our justification. c. To him that worketh not – Rom 4:5 Romans 4:5 But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness. d. Not justified by works Gal 2:16 Galatians 2:16 Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified. e. The law is a curse, it is not of faith Gal 3:10-12 Galatians 3:10 For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse: for it is written, Cursed is every one that continueth not in all things which are written in the book of the law to do them. Galatians 3:11 But that no man is justified by the law in the sight of God, it is evident: for, The just shall live by faith. Galatians 3:12 And the law is not of faith: but, The man that doeth them shall live in them. f. Vain faith Rom 4:19-21; 1 Cor 15: 1-2, 1 Cor 15: 14-17 Romans 4:18 Who against hope believed in hope, that he might become the father of many nations, according to that which was spoken, So shall thy seed be. Romans 4:19 And being not weak in faith, he considered not his own body now dead, when he was about an hundred years old, neither yet the deadness of Sara's womb: Romans 4:20 He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God; Romans 4:21 And being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able also to perform. THE GOSPEL THAT SAVES US NOW 1 Corinthians 15:1 Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; 1 Corinthians 15:2 By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. 1 Corinthians 15:14 And if Christ be not risen, then is our preaching vain, and your faith is also vain. 1 Corinthians 15:15 Yea, and we are found false witnesses of God; because we have testified of God that he raised up Christ: whom he raised not up, if so be that the dead rise not. 1 Corinthians 15:16 For if the dead rise not, then is not Christ raised: 1 Corinthians 15:17 And if Christ be not raised, your faith is vain; ye are yet in your sins. g. Christ dead in vain – Gal 2:21 Galatians 2:21 I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain.
