THE REVELATION OF THE MYSTERY
King James Holy Bible 1769
The Body of Christ, its Head and its Members
Ephesians 4:15 But speaking the truth in love,
may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ:
Ephesians 1:22 And hath put all things under his feet,
and gave him to be the head over all things to the church,
Colossians 1:18 And he is the head of the body, the church:
who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead;
that in all things he might have the preeminence.
Colossians 2:10 And ye are complete in him,
which is the head of all principality and power:
Colossians 2:19 And not holding the Head,
from which all the body by joints and bands having nourishment ministered,
and knit together, increaseth with the increase of God.
Ephesians 5:23 For the husband is the head of the wife,
even as Christ is the head of the church:
and he is the saviour of the body.
Contrary to popular opinion,no man on earth is The Head of The Body of Christ,
but The Lord Jesus Christ Who is in Heaven sitting on the right hand of God,
He is The Head of The Body of Christ while saved and sealed believers
are members of the Body on earth.
Colossians 3:1 If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above,
where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God.
Hebrews 1:3 Who being the brightness of his glory,
and the express image of his person,
and upholding all things by the word of his power,
when he had by himself purged our sins,
sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;
Hebrews 12:2 Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith;
who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame,
and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.
1 Peter 3:22 Who is gone into heaven, and is on the right hand of God;
angels and authorities and powers being made subject unto him.
In this study I will endeavour to describe
from the Preserved and Infallible word of God,
the King James Bible 1611-1769,
what is The Body of Christ and how is related to Christ.
It is a great subject, and requires to be explained from God's word
according to the Revelation of the Mystery given to the Apostle Paul.
Paul wrote:
Romans 16:25 Now to him that is of power to stablish you according to my gospel,
and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery,
which was kept secret since the world began,
26 But now is made manifest, and by the scriptures of the prophets,
according to the commandment of the everlasting God,
made known to all nations for the obedience of faith:
27 To God only wise, be glory through Jesus Christ for ever. Amen.
Since Acts 9 we are in the Dispensation of Grace and here are the Scriptures:
Ephesians 3:2 If ye have heard of the dispensation of the grace of God which is given me to you-ward: 3 How that by revelation he made known unto me the mystery; (as I wrote afore in few words, 4 Whereby, when ye read, ye may understand my knowledge in the mystery of Christ) 5 Which in other ages was not made known unto the sons of men, as it is now revealed unto his holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit; 6 That the Gentiles should be fellowheirs, and of the same body, and partakers of his promise in Christ by the gospel: 7 Whereof I was made a minister, according to the gift of the grace of God given unto me by the effectual working of his power. 8 Unto me, who am less than the least of all saints, is this grace given, that I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ; 9 And to make all men see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the world hath been hid in God, who created all things by Jesus Christ: 10 To the intent that now unto the principalities and powers in heavenly places might be known by the church the manifold wisdom of God, 11 According to the eternal purpose which he purposed in Christ Jesus our Lord: 12 In whom we have boldness and access with confidence by the faith of him. 13 Wherefore I desire that ye faint not at my tribulations for you, which is your glory.
Colossians 1:25 Whereof I am made a minister, according to the dispensation of God which is given to me for you, to fulfil the word of God;
1 Corinthians 9:17 For if I do this thing willingly, I have a reward: but if against my will, a dispensation of the gospel is committed unto me.
Ephesians 1:10 That in the dispensation of the fulness of times he might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; even in him:
The Body of Christ is The New Creature:
2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature:
old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
Galatians 6:15 For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision availeth any thing,
nor uncircumcision, but a new creature.
Ephesians 4:24 And that ye put on the new man,
which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.
Colossians 1:16 For by him were all things created,
that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible,
whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers:
all things were created by him, and for him:
Colossians 3:10 And have put on the new man,
which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him
that created him:

Therefore if any man be in Christ,
he is a new creature: old things are passed away;

Philemon 1:23
There salute thee Epaphras, my fellowprisoner in Christ Jesus;
Every member in particular of the Body of Christ enjoys
this Position and Blessings in Christ
Romans 12:5
So we, being many, are one body in Christ, and every one members one of another.
1 Corinthians 12:12
For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of that one body,
being many, are one body: so also is Christ.
1 Corinthians 12:18
But now hath God set the members every one of them in the body,
as it hath pleased him.
1 Corinthians 12:20
But now are they many members, yet but one body.
1 Corinthians 12:25 That there should be no schism in the body;
but that the members should have the same care one for another.
1 Corinthians 12:27
Now ye are the body of Christ,
and members in particular.
Ephesians 5:30
For we are members of his body,
of his flesh, and of his bones.
Christ is in you, the hope of glory.
Colossians 1:27 Colossians 1:27 To whom God would make known what is the
riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the
hope of glory:
You are crucified with Christ,
Galatians 2:20 I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ
liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son
of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.
Buried with Christ
Romans 6:4 Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as
Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also
should walk in newness of life.
alive with Christ. Ephesians 2:5 Even when we were dead in sins, hath
quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;)
You are ascended and seated with Christ,
Ephesians 2:6 And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly
places in Christ Jesus:
A joint-heir with Christ.
Romans 8:17 And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ;
if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.
Colossians 1:12 Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers
of the inheritance of the saints in light:
You are indwelt by the Father, indwelt by the Son, indwelt
by the Holy Spirit. You are a Saint and beloved of God.
Colossians 1:2 To the saints and faithful brethren in Christ which are at Colosse:
Grace be unto you, and peace, from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
1 Thessalonians 1:4 Knowing, brethren beloved, your election of God.
You are dead to sin.
Romans 6:11 Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be
dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord.
YOU ARE UNDER GRACE.
Romans 6:14 For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not
under the law, but under grace.
You have eternal life.
You are free from condemnation. You are a son of God.
You were foreknown of God, and predestinated, called,
justified and glorified, free from sin.
You are more than a conqueror, You are in fellowship with God
the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
Romans 8:1 There is therefore now no condemnation to them
which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after
the Spirit.
Romans 8:2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath
made me free from the law of sin and death.
Romans 8:3 For what the law could not do, in that it was weak
through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful
flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh:
Romans 8:4 That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled
in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
Romans 8:5 For they that are after the flesh do mind the things
of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the
Spirit.
Romans 8:6 For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually
minded is life and peace.
Romans 8:7 Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for
it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.
Romans 8:8 So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.
Romans 8:9 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be
that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the
Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.
Romans 8:10 And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because
of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness.
Romans 8:11 But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from
the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead
shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth
in you.
Romans 8:12 Therefore, brethren, we are debtors, not to the
flesh, to live after the flesh.
Romans 8:13 For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye
through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live.
Romans 8:14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they
are the sons of God.
Romans 8:15 For ye have not received the spirit of bondage
again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby
we cry, Abba, Father.
Romans 8:16 The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit,
that we are the children of God:
Romans 8:17 And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and jointheirs
with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may
be also glorified together.
Romans 8:18 For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time
are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed
in us.
Romans 8:19 For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth
for the manifestation of the sons of God.
Romans 8:20 For the creature was made subject to vanity, not
willingly, but by reason of him who hath subjected the same in
hope,
Romans 8:21 Because the creature itself also shall be delivered
from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the
children of God.
Romans 8:22 For we know that the whole creation groaneth and
travaileth in pain together until now.
Romans 8:23 And not only they, but ourselves also, which have
the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves,
waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our
body.
Romans 8:24 For we are saved by hope: but hope that is seen is
not hope: for what a man seeth, why doth he yet hope for?
Romans 8:25 But if we hope for that we see not, then do we with
patience wait for it.
Romans 8:26 Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for
we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit
itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be
uttered.
Romans 8:27 And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is
the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the
saints according to the will of God. * God Chose Us
Romans 8:28 And we know that all things work together for
good to them that love God, to them who are the called according
to his purpose.
Romans 8:29 For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate
to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be
the firstborn among many brethren.
Romans 8:30 Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also
called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he
justified, them he also glorified. ( see Eph 1:4 )
Romans 8:31 What shall we then say to these things? If God be
for us, who can be against us?
Romans 8:32 He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him
up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all
things?
Romans 8:33 Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God's
elect? It is God that justifieth.
Romans 8:34 Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died,
yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of
God, who also maketh intercession for us.
Romans 8:35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ?
shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness,
or peril, or sword?
Romans 8:36 As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the
day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.
Romans 8:37 Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors
through him that loved us.
Romans 8:38 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life,
nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present,
nor things to come,
Romans 8:39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature,
shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in
Christ Jesus our Lord.
You, as a believer, are the temple of God.
You are washed and sanctified, a member of His body. You are victorious,
you are triumphant, you are a new creature, reconciled,
an ambassador of Christ.
2 Corinthians 5:14 For the love of Christ constraineth us; because we thus judge,
that if one died for all, then were all dead:
2 Corinthians 5:15 And that he died for all, that they which live should not henceforth
live unto themselves, but unto him which died for them, and rose again.
2 Corinthians 5:16 Wherefore henceforth know we no man after the flesh: yea,
though we have known Christ after the flesh, yet now henceforth know we him no
more.
2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old
things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
2 Corinthians 5:18 And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by
Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation;
2 Corinthians 5:19 To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself,
not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word
of reconciliation.
2 Corinthians 5:20 Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech
you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God.
2 Corinthians 5:21 For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we
might be made the righteousness of God in him.
You have the RIGHTEOUSNESS OF GOD ...CHRIST
IS YOUR RIGHTEOUSNESS.
1 Corinthians 1:30 But of him are
ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness,
and sanctification, and redemption:
1 Corinthians 1:31 That, according as it is written, He that glorieth, let
him glory in the Lord.
You are redeemed from the curse of the Law,
you are adopted, free and
called unto liberty.
You are blessed.
You are in the chosen,
holy and without
blame, accepted in the beloved.
You are sealed unto the day of redemption.
You are saved by grace (with no works).
You are His workmanship
and a fellow citizen.
You are delivered from the power of darkness. You have been
translated into the Kingdom of God's Son. You are complete and
circumcised without hands. You are forgiven all trespasses. You
are the elect of God. You have been delivered from the wrath to
come, you are not appointed to wrath. You are Saved!and Sealed!
You have peace with God. You have now received the atonement.
You have the mind of Christ, you have all spiritual blessings. You
have obtained an inheritance. You have a hope laid up for you in
Heaven. You have a holy calling. You have all things.
You shall be confirmed unto the end.
Christ is your wisdom,
your righteousness,
your sanctification,
and redemption. Christ is your victory.
Christ is your peace. Christ is your hope.
Christ is your completion.
You are COMPLETE in Him.
1 Cor 15 :1-4
1 Moreover, brethren,
I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you,
which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand;
2 By which also ye are saved,
if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you,
unless ye have believed in vain.
3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received,
how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;
4 And that he was buried,
and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:

The Body of Christ, its Head and its Members
Ephesians 4:15 But speaking the truth in love,
may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ:
Ephesians 1:22 And hath put all things under his feet,

Contrary to popular opinion,no man on earth is The Head of The Body of Christ,
but The Lord Jesus Christ Who is in Heaven sitting on the right hand of God,
He is The Head of The Body of Christ while saved and sealed believers
are members of the Body on earth.

and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.
1 Peter 3:22 Who is gone into heaven, and is on the right hand of God;
angels and authorities and powers being made subject unto him.
Colossians 1:25 Whereof I am made a minister, according to the dispensation of God which is given to me for you, to fulfil the word of God;
The Body of Christ is The New Creature:

old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.

whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers:
all things were created by him, and for him:
Colossians 3:10 And have put on the new man,
which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him
that created him:

as it hath pleased him.
1 Corinthians 12:20
But now are they many members, yet but one body.

but that the members should have the same care one for another.

Now ye are the body of Christ,
and members in particular.
Ephesians 5:30
For we are members of his body,

Romans 8:17 And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ;
if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.
2 Corinthians 5:18 And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by
Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation;
1 Moreover, brethren,
I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you,
which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand;
2 By which also ye are saved,
if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you,
unless ye have believed in vain.
3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received,
how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;
4 And that he was buried,
and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:
Ephesians 1:22
And hath put all things under his feet,
and gave him to be the head
over all things to the church,
Ephesians 1:23
Which is his body,
the fulness of him that filleth all in all.
And hath put all things under his feet,
and gave him to be the head
over all things to the church,
Ephesians 1:23
Which is his body,
the fulness of him that filleth all in all.
