And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures,
which are able to make thee wise unto salvation
through faith which is in Christ Jesus.
16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God,
and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction,
for instruction in righteousness:
17 That the man of God may be perfect,
throughly furnished unto all good works.
2 Timothy 2:15
Study to shew thyself approved unto God,
a workman that needeth not to be ashamed,
rightly dividing the word of truth.

Prophecy: That which was spoken by the mouth of all the holy prophets since the world began. It pertains to specific promises of God to and through the nation of Israel. All of those promises are in an earthly setting. They are both literal and visible.
Acts 3:21 Whom the heaven must receive until the times of restitution of all things, which God hath spoken by the mouth of all his holy prophets since the world began. |
Mystery: The preaching of Jesus Christ according to the revelation of the mystery which was kept secret since the world began, until the Lord gave to the Apostle Paul an abundance of visions and revelations about the heavenly aspects of God’s purpose and plan.
Romans 16:25 Now to him that is of power to stablish you according to my gospel, and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery, which was kept secret since the world began, |
What is a Dispensation according to the word of God
Dispensationalism
is that method of reading the Bible respecting God’s progressive revelation and separate ways of dealing with humanity throughout the ages. Each distinct order of operation between God and humanity is revealed progressively and can be studied as a separate dispensation. Included in a dispensational understanding is recognition of God’s dual purpose for humanity; that is, His purpose for man on earth, and his purpose for man in heavenly places (Eph 2:10). The Bible supports at least five prominent dispensations or separate economies in which God deals with humanity: Promise Law Grace (Faith) Kingdom Fullness of Times We see the dispensation of Promise delivered by God in Galatians 3:16 which says, ‘to Abraham and his seed were the promises made.’ In Galatians 3:17,19 we read that the Law was added after the Promise because of transgressions. The passage continues to describe how the ‘law was added because of transgressions, TIL THE SEED SHOULD COME TO WHOM THE PROMISE WAS MADE’. In Galatians 3:22 we read that the promise was made to Christ and given to them who by FAITH will believe. Paul writes about this dispensation of faith as new information. He continues in Galatians 3:23 to explain, ‘But before faith came, we were kept under the law, shut up unto the faith which should afterwards be revealed.’ In Ephesians 3:2-3 Paul says: “If ye have heard of the dispensation of the grace of God which is given me to you-ward: How that by revelation he made known unto me the mystery…” – Eph 3:2-3 and in Romans 6:14, “…for ye are not under the law, but under grace.” The faith that Paul wrote about in Galatians 3:23 was that revelation of Grace revealed to him and kept secret from the prior generations. Paul writes of the distant future when he says in Ephesians 1:10, “That in the dispensation of the fulness of times he might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; even in him.” However, the dispensation of the fulness of times will not appear before the instituted kingdom on earth that God promised to the nation Israel in Jeremiah 31 and in Hebrews 8. Hebrews 2:8 describes this future hope of the kingdom to the Hebrews in Paul’s day: “Thou hast put all things in subjection under his feet. For in that he put all in subjection under him, he left nothing that is not put under him. But now we see not yet all things put under him.” – Hebrews 2:8 There will be time after this age of Grace is over that God will usher in the Kingdom as described in Revelation 12:10. So then, as we understand the dispensations of God, we can better understand how to read our Bibles and God’s plan for the Ages. |

Important Divisions in the King James Holy BibleLAW and GRACE
ISRAEL and BODY OF CHRIST EARTH and HEAVEN PROPHECY and MYSTERY Mixing and Conflating
Law and Grace, Israel and the Body of Christ, the Earthly and the Heavenly programs, the Prophetic and the Mystery programs, it is what the Religious Denominations have been doing all along since the abandonment of the Pauline Doctrine as we can read here: 2 Timothy 1:15 This thou knowest, that all they which are in Asia be turned away from me; of whom are Phygellus and Hermogenes. Paul during his ministry wrote to Timothy : 1 Timothy 1:3 As I besought thee to abide still at Ephesus, when I went into Macedonia, that thou mightest charge some that they teach no other doctrine, While there are NO ERRORS in the King James Bible, for sure there are CONTRADICTIONS that can be easily resolved and understood if we study the Word of Truth Rightly Divided as we are commanded: 2 Timothy 2:15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. |
Basic Distinctions Between Prophecy and The Mystery
Prophecy
1. Concerns a kingdom; a political organization
(Dan. 2:44; Matt. 6:10).
2. The kingdom to be established on earth (Jer.
23:5; Matt. 6:10).
3. Christ to be its King (Jer. 23:5; Isa. 9:6,7).
4. The kingdom prophesied “since the world began”
(Luke 1:68-70; Acts 3:21).
5. Israel to be given supremacy over the nations
(Isa. 60:10-12; 61:6).
6. The Gentiles to be blessed through Israel’s
instrumentality (Gen. 22:17,18; Zech. 8:13).
7. The Gentiles to be blessed through Israel’s rise
(Isa. 60:1-3; Zech. 8:22,23).
8. Prophecy mainly concerns nations as such (Isa.
2:4; Ezek. 37:21,22).
9. Prophecy concerns blessings, both material and
spiritual, on earth (Isa. 2:3,4; 11:1-9; etc.).
10. Prophecy concerns Christ’s coming to the earth
(Isa. 59:20; Zech. 14:4).
11. In prophecy salvation by grace through faith
alone is not contemplated.
12. The proclamation of the prophetic program com-
mitted particularly to the twelve (Matt. 10:5-7;
Acts 1:6-8; 3:19-26).
13. The prophetic program revealed through many
of God’s servants (Luke 1:70; II Pet. 1:21).
14. Old testament writers frequently did not under-
stand the prophecies made known through them
(Dan. 12:8-10; I Pet. 1:10-12).
The Mystery
1. Concerns a body; a living organism (I Cor.
12:12,27; Eph. 4:12-16).
2. The body given a position in heaven (Eph. 1:3;
2:5-6; Col. 3:1-3).
3. Christ its living Head (Eph. 1:19-23; Col. 1:18).
4. The body chosen in Christ before the world be-
gan, but “kept secret since the world began” (Rom.
16:25; Eph. 1:4-11; 3:5-9).
5. Jew and Gentile placed on the same level before
god (Rom. 10:12; 11:32; Eph. 2:16,17).
6. The Gentiles blessed through Israel’s obstinacy
(Acts 13:44-46; Rom. 11:28-32).
7. The Gentiles blessed through Israel’s fall
(Acts28:27,28; Rom. 11:11,12,15).
8. The mystery concerns individuals (Rom. 10:12,13;
II Cor. 5:14-17).
9. The mystery concerns “all spiritual blessings in
the heavenlies” (Eph. 1:3; Col. 3:1-3).
10. The mystery explains Christ’s present absence
from the earth (Eph. 1:20-23; Col. 3:1-3).
11. Salvation by grace through faith alone lies at
the very heart of the mystery (rom. 3:21-26; 4:5;
Eph. 2:8,9).
12. The proclamation of the mystery committed par-
ticularly to Paul (Eph. 3:1-3,8,9; Col. 1:24-27).
13. The mystery revealed through one man: Paul
(Gal. 1:1,11,12; 2:2,7,9; Eph. 3:2,3).
